Sriracha (Rooster Sauce).
Definitely on my list of the top multi-purpose off-the-shelf bottled sauces (and I use that term loosely) along with Knorr, Maggi, Dimsum and Dumpling’s Chili Sauce, Cholula, Japanese Mayo, and Mang Tomas.
A friend of mine recently made me try Buffalo Wings made with Sriracha instead of (or was it along with?) the usual hot sauce (Frank’s Red Hot is the best for Buffalo Wings, by the way) and it was definitely a wonderful take on the classic bar chow.
Now I really want to try other classics using Sriracha and The Sriracha Cookbook: 50 “Rooster Sauce” Recipes That Pack a Punch by Randy Clemens is on my list of cookbooks to buy.
